My Table Rock, 24W x 18H, acrylic on canvas, 2025

This is one of the most beautiful places in the region. It is a respite for many today and it was sacred to the Cherokee, who called it "Sah-ka-na-ga," (or "The Great Blue Hills of God”). In Cherokee tradition ,Table Rock was so-named because the flat top of the mountain served as a table for the Great Spirit. It is currently enduring severe wildfires. All of us who revere this place are praying for and end to the destruction and soon.
